Dining at Fossheim Hotel

You may catch a tempting aroma from the kitchen that draws you down to the dining hall. Ever since 1978, when hotel host Svein Garmo took over the operation of the hotel, the focus has been on food and the use of local ingredients, provided availability and quality are good.

Our head chef wants you to experience the flavors of the local area when you come to Lom, featuring ingredients from the mountains, fishing lakes, and farms—often with a modern twist.

He emphasizes that the food should be simple, with rich flavors that harmonize well together.

The dining hall is open for breakfast for both hotel guests and those who are not staying with us. At the reception, you can order a packed lunch and a refill for your thermos for tomorrow’s hike.
