Experience the Food
Dining Hall
Our dining hall can accommodate around 150 guests for events or buffets. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner to all of our guests. The dining hall is open for dinner service every day, offering dishes crafted from seasonal ingredients. Occasionally, the dining hall may be closed on certain evenings during the low season, so be sure to contact us to reserve a table and confirm availability.
Authentic Norwegian Experience
Fireplace Lounge and Library
On the second floor, you'll find our cozy Fireplace Lounge, with its old-fashioned décor, creating a warm setting for private gatherings or meetings. The library next to the lounge is ideal for smaller meetings or dinners of up to eight people. Both the lounge and library are open to all our guests as a place to relax with a good book or enjoy a conversation.
Bar Experience
Dr. Garmos
Dr. Garmos is our large basement bar. We host events here, and often the wedding dances take place in this space. With a stage and sound system, it's a lively venue. You can also rent Dr. Garmos for private events; contact the reception for details.
Historic Architecture
Gaukstadstugu
Fossheim boasts an elegant courtyard surrounded by the hotel building, small timber houses, and the Fossheim Stone Center. We're especially proud of Gaukstadstugu, one of the best-preserved timber houses from the 1600s in all of Norway. Gaukstadstugu is the perfect venue for small weddings, christenings, or celebrations, providing a charming atmosphere for your event.
Fresh Ingredients
The Herb Garden
The Herb Garden is our outdoor seating area, offering comfortable seating and a stunning view of Lom and Lomseggen. Around the seating area, various useful plants grow, and a babbling brook adds to the ambiance during warm summer days.
Culinary and Beverage Experiences
Wine Cellar
Under Gaukstadstugu, we store our finest wines. Here, we also have a cozy fireplace and a large table for hosting tastings of wine, beer, aquavit, or perhaps cheeses.
