Personal Data Received by Fossheim Hotel
Fossheim Hotel has two sources of personal data, both based on section 8 of the Personal Data Act.
The primary source of personal data is the information you provide yourself, mainly through the contact form on Fossheim Hotel’s website. The contact form serves as the meeting point between potential/existing customers and Fossheim Hotel. Filling out the form is completely voluntary, and you may choose to remain a passive visitor on the site. The personal data collected through the contact form includes phone number, email, and name. Additional personal information may be generated afterward through emails, phone calls, or similar correspondence between Fossheim Hotel and you as a potential/existing customer.
Another source of personal data is the data collected by Fossheim Hotel itself. This collection occurs through Google Analytics, which tracks how long you stay on the site, your IP address, the links you click, and the number of users on the site at various times, among other things.
How Fossheim Hotel Uses Personal Data
The purpose of the contact form and subsequent correspondence is to follow up on customer inquiries and commitments. Fossheim Hotel relies on such an open platform to ensure satisfactory communication and service delivery.
The purpose of the information from Google Analytics is to improve the website experience. This could include making layouts more user-friendly, understanding user trends, optimizing services, and preventing criminal behavior such as hacking.
The legal basis for Fossheim Hotel’s processing of personal data is section 11 of the Personal Data Act.
How to Manage Your Personal Data
The limited amount of personal data that Fossheim Hotel collects from you and on its own initiative is, compared to other actors and services, quite minimal. As a result, some forms of personal data management, such as app settings or personalized advertising settings, are not relevant. The personal data collected is not used for such purposes.
However, you always have rights related to your personal data, which are outlined below.
Information Sharing with Third Parties
Fossheim Hotel does not share any personal data from the contact form, its own collections, or other sources with third parties. If such sharing does occur, you will always receive a consent request from us.
Secure Archiving, Deletion, and Internal Control
In accordance with section 13 of the Personal Data Act, all personal data received by Fossheim Hotel will be securely archived, either via email or on a server, for the duration of the relationship between you and Fossheim Hotel. Upon termination of this relationship, all communication and personal data will be deleted within two years.
Fossheim Hotel has an internal control system in place to ensure archiving, security, and deletion are conducted according to legal standards.
